Biography

Llywelyn is recorded as the son of Adda ap Dafydd of Trefor in the cantref of Chirkland in north-east Wales, and his wife Lleucu ferch Deio.^[1][2]

His paternal ancestry was recorded in the early 16th century in Peniarth manuscript MS 129 as ""Ll[ywely]n ap Addaf ap D[afyd]d ap Ieuaf ap Adda ap Awr".^[3]

He was "of Camhelig" in Llansilin in the commote of Cynllaith.^[1]

He married Myfanwy, a daughter of Owain Glyndŵr.^[1][2][3]

They had six children and no others ("nid amgen"^[3]):
